Haringey Junior Ice Hockey
History
The Haringey Junior Ice Hockey Club plays out of its home rink at Alexandra Palace. It has been in operation for 20 years with teams across 4 age groups: U12 Bulldogs, U14 Hounds, U16 Whippets and U18 Wolves. We also have a fledging U10 squad, Terriers. The club is always on the look out for new members and holds beginner sessions on Fridays 545pm when Alexandra Palace is open (see beginners page for more details). During the Alexandra Palace shut down, we are training at the Sobell Centre in Islington. Times are 715pm Wednesdays and Thursdays and 945am Saturdays in September. We have yet to scehdule tryout sessions but please do register your interest (contacts on the Beginner page).

U18s, although registered with Haringey, are training and playing with Lee Valley this season. Hopefully we can get over there to cheer them on from time to time. They will be back training at Ally Pally in 2011. U18s are welcome to the Sept 1 practice at Lee Valley.
FIXTURES
The fixtures for the season have been published and can be found on the EIHA website. Your team manager will be posting the schedule to you. First game for the U14s is Sunday 5 September at Solent and Gosport. The first U12 game is Sunday 12 September at Solent and Gosport. Only registered players may particiapte in games (and practices).
Registration
Thansk to all the parents who registered their hockey players early. There is a new registration system up and running. Sandy Ippolito is our club secretary and registration secretary so any quetsions can be directed to her from 6 Sept. Until then ask Liz Rosenfeld.
BANK STANDING ORDERS
Don't forget to contact your bank with the new Standing Order instructions so payments in September are correct.
Note to Players and Parents
Dear all,
Please do not worry about the emails you may be receiving regarding registration and de registration. This is all due to the changeover to an online registration system and is a byproduct of the first entries being made.
Rink Refurbishment
The palace refurbishment is now back on schedule, after a couple of hiccups, with an expected opening in December.
There will be a brand new 56mx26m International sized ice surface, and new boards (sadly no plexiglass just yet) The number of seats will remain unchanged and the toilets and changing rooms will receive a much needed spruce up.
The Sobell contingency plan will still be going ahead and we are expecting ice times on Wednesday and Thursday evening, commencing at around 19:15. The exact breakdown of training times has yet to be decided.
