LEARN TO PLAY (AGES 5-15)

Come along to Ally Pally and give ice hockey a try. Next Learn to Play set Friday 25 Feb. come for a free trial any Friday before then. Email rosenfelds@tiscali.co.uk to let us know youare coming and if you have your own skates.

New Year Starts off with Wins

 The U14s have rung in the New Year with two good wins, one at Swindon, 8-1 and one a home to Bracknell, 7-3. The team is showing good teamwork working the puck up the ice and defending with determination.

Haringey Girls join forces with Streatham Blizzard for the Girls U16 League

The U16 joint girls team's startws their campaign Jan 8 at Bracknell. With a small squad of 7 players, the team did well but were unable to match the strength of Bracknell, score 1-20. The team fared better at their first home match at Ally Pally. They had 9 skaters this time and lost to South England team 12-1. Haringey's owm rookie, Juliet London notched up her first point wth an assist.

Haringey Hounds benefit from the EIHA mentor programme.

Ben Pitchley, South East Mentor Coach, made his second visit to the Hounds Monday Practice. Ben who is a SE and England coach took the team practices Monday putting players through high intensity drills. Haringey coaches were on hand to work with Ben, exchanging ideas about drills, on-ice work ethic and the challenges coaching ice hockey presents. We look forward to working together this season.

Development Squad taking shape. With Learn to Play (LTP) now in its second year, we have a number of players ready to graduate to the development squad (click "Teams" tab above, then Development) where they will double their ice time and have the opportunity to participate in challenge matches. 

New shirts arrived and they look great - get the camera out! New socks on their way. talk to your team manager.

Latest results: The U10s hosted their first gme at Ally Pally. It was action packed. The U14s then played Peterborough in a very close game. Rhys made some fabulous saves. Peterborough ended on top with a 2-0 win. U16s travelled to Swindon and lost.

Next games: Saturday Dec 10 U12s and U16s host Streatham 1700 face off for the U12s. U

History

The Haringey Junior Ice Hockey Club plays out of its home rink at Alexandra Palace. It has been in operation for 20 years with teams across 4 age groups: U12 Bulldogs, U14 Hounds, U16 Whippets and U18 Wolves. We also have a fledging U10 squad, Terriers. The club is always on the look out for new members and holds beginner sessions on Fridays 545pm when Alexandra Palace is open (see beginners page for more details). Images pipes from Flickr
